Why do we need both of code and line code? Why cannot use one of them?
In order to explain the reason why we should use code and line code at the same time, we should image the management and operation of a big market with thousands of goods. Each kind of goods has the same properties and costs which has been imported from many distributors, however, each of them has the different consumption ability so the management on these products is also different.
Normally, code is created to identify goods which should be managed. If we do not use the method of encrypting code for each good, it will take much time, many documents to describe goods by words and efforts on management. In case of not automatically scanning, it should be used code. Code is the key to open the database relating to the goods; however, the disadvantages are unable to read code by machine so it is impossible to prevent from mistakes.
In order to solve the problems, code will be encrypted to line code (the lines of code and the parallel spaces have been arranged in order) which the canner can read. Thus, staffs on market have to use scanner to read line code on goods.
Thanks to software applications and internet technology, the combination between code and line code, the management on business is smoother and quicker… many other advantages.
